EMILY M. MILLER
Practice area: Workers’ Compensation Defense
Ms. Miller defends insurance companies and employers in workers’ compensation and subrogation matters. She has litigated before the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado State District Court, Industrial Claims Appeals Office, and the Division of Workers’ Compensation. Prior to joining Lee & Brown, LLC, she clerked for the Hon. John L. Wheeler in Colorado’s Eighteenth Judicial District.
Ms. Miller earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2016. During law school, she was a Manager Editor of the University of Denver Water Law Review. She also initiated two federal lawsuits on behalf of an indigent client in prison through the University of Denver’s Civil Rights Clinic. This litigation led to the vacation of the client’s life sentence and release from prison.
Before law school, Ms. Miller obtained a Masters of Arts in Classics from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northwestern University.
