Kirk Whitehead completed a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University in 2001. He earned his law degree from the University of Denver in 2008. Mr. Whitehead served on the Denver University Law Review, and was appointed to the Executive Board of the Law Review as Senior Editor. Upon achieving his Colorado bar admission in 2009, Mr. Whitehead began his career representing Claimants in worker’s compensation matters, where he gained significant experience in client management, pre-trial discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiation and litigation.
Mr. Whitehead left the legal field in 2011 to complete a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management. Upon obtaining his degree, Mr. Whitehead worked as an Investigator for the Environmental Quality Division of the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment, where he was responsible for regulatory formation and enforcement. Thereafter, Mr. Whitehead served as Compliance Manager and Interim Compliance Director for a multi-state Denver-area startup.
Mr. Whitehead returned to the legal profession in 2019, as a member of document production teams in support of complex civil litigation, before joining Lee & Brown in 2020. Mr. Whitehead brings to Lee & Brown a broad knowledge of Claimant representation and litigation, which enables him to zealously defend claims for his clients.
