Timothy M. Murphy

Timothy Murphy, an associate at Lee and Brown, is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Murphy attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice and also attained fluency in Spanish and Latin. He then attended the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate with a graduate certificate in Criminal Law in 2017.
While in law school, Mr. Murphy clerked at a successful law firm in northern Ohio before becoming a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio. Upon finishing law school, he returned to Nebraska to practice law where he gained experience in insurance defense litigation, worker’s comp, criminal defense, discrimination, medical malpractice, and family law, and has practiced in both state and federal courts, including several appeals which have been argued before the Nebraska Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Murphy now lives in the greater Denver area where he enjoys skiing, hiking, off-roading, and cheering for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Nebraska, and is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Constitution Society, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Nebraska Bar Association.
